The whole of yesterday I was suffering from a Nutella craving. And I didn’t just want Nutella on bread or something random like that. I wanted to try my hand at creating something on my own.
I spent quite a bit of time looking up recipes on the net. But they seemed either too time-taking, or I didn’t have the required ingredients. So I thought, what the heck..let me use what I have and go with the flow.
The result were these delicious Nutella chocolate type things…that took no time at all to create. Sharing the recipe here.
You need:
Procedure:
PS: If you are a fan of dark chocolate just go a little easy on the condensed milk and add in some bitter chocolate/cooking chocolate shavings instead.
If you are a fan of seafood, especially prawns…and you live in Bangalore - then I have a hidden gem for you.
There is this small ‘thela’ near Jayanagar 3rd Block, very close to Rose Garden Road. This guy sells the WORLD’S BEST PRAWNS! I gotta yell coz just thinking of it has me drooling all over the keyboard. He sells fish meals as well but it’s his prawns that sell like hot cakes!
They are fresh, crunchy and fried in this spicy paste that just knocks you out. You can order a plate of small prawns (Rs 60 with about 15-18 pieces) or a plate of large ones (Rs 70 with 12-15 pieces). He adds in some sliced onions and a green chutney and you are transported to crustacean heaven!
In fact, I remember when my hubby and I were dating..my main interest in traveling to his side of town was not to meet him…but to sample this yummylicious dish. Don’t miss it!
Directions: If you are traveling towards Jayanagar 3rd Block from the direction of the Jayanagar 4th block BDA complex, then take the left at the HSBC signal and go straight towards Rose Garden Rd. The thela is just at the end towards your right. Next to it is a Showoff garments showroom.
This is one of my favouritesssst mocktail recipes..its the perfect drink on a hot summer day..actually its a perfect drink anytime…
How to go about it:
Add 75 ml litchi juice (can use common stuff like Tropicana), 75 ml guava juice (again normal supermarket juices will do) and 10 ml grenadine syrup (these bottles are a little expensive but last forever!) and stir well.
Pop in 3 lime wedges for garnishing and voila! The prettiest pink drink ever :)
For those who prefer their drink to be a tad stronger - add in 45 ml of vodka and you’re set ;)
I think that my mom makes the world’s best chilli chicken. And a few other things as well. But mostly chilli chicken. During my hostel years, every time I was due to come back home for my semester breaks, she would call me and ask me what I wanted to eat. And I would say, without a pause, “Chilli Chicken”. In fact I did this so many times that she got exasperated and said “I can cook other stuff too you know”
She then proceeded to give me the recipe - teach a man how to fish and all that…
So here its is…easy peasy..and yummyyyyy
